Product Description

Transparent ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) granules are a specialized form of ABS plastic engineered for optical clarity while retaining the key properties of standard ABS. Below are the key properties of transparent ABS granules:

1. Optical Properties
High Transparency: Offers good light transmission, similar to polystyrene (PS) or PMMA (acrylic), though not as clear as polycarbonate (PC).

Glossy Surface Finish: Can achieve a polished, glass-like appearance when properly processed.

2. Mechanical Properties
Good Impact Resistance: Better than polystyrene (PS) or acrylic (PMMA) due to the butadiene rubber phase.

Moderate Tensile Strength: Typically around 30-50 MPa, depending on formulation.
Flexibility & Toughness: More ductile than clear PS but less rigid than PC.

3. Thermal Properties

Heat Resistance: Vicat softening temperature around 90-110°C, lower than polycarbonate but suitable for many applications.
Processing Temperature: Typically molded at 200-240°C.

4. Chemical Resistance

Resistant to Weak Acids & Bases: Performs well against diluted chemicals.
Susceptible to Solvents: Can be attacked by ketones (e.g., acetone), esters, and some hydrocarbons.

5. Processing Characteristics
