 What is PE  in plastic materials ?               

 PE plastic is polyethylene plastic, with corrosion resistance, electrical insulation (especially high frequency insulation), low pressure polyethylene is suitable for making corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts; High pressure polyethylene is suitable for making film, etc. Uhmwpe is suitable for making shock absorption, wear resistance and transmission parts.

What is the distinction between HDPE  and LDPE for making film?

Low density polyethylene, referred to as LDPE, is the largest variety in the plastic packaging and printing industry in various countries. The specific gravity is 0.92 ~ 0.93, can float in water. Low crystallinity (60%), at the pressure of 1000 ~ 3000kg/C square meters for bulk polymerization, so it is also called high pressure polyethylene. At 23 degrees Celsius, the density is about 0.92. Poor rolling formability, suitable for blow molding process into tubular film. Suitable for food packaging, fiber products packaging, daily chemical supplies packaging.
 
High density polyethylene, HDPE for short. The density is 0.941 ~ 0.965g/ cm ³. With low pressure polymerization, it is also called low pressure polyethylene. Milky white, indicating poor luster. The film can be processed by blow molding and T-die extrusion process. Heat resistance cooking resistance, cold resistance freezing resistance, moisture resistance, gas resistance, good isolation performance, and not easy to break, the strength of LDPE twice. Very easy to open. The paper is strong, known as "paper plastic film".

High density PE does not have a little transparency but high strength, low density PE is soft and a little transparent with low strength

 Why add the additives to HDPE? 
The addition of antioxidants prevents degradation of the polymer during processing and prevents oxidation of the finished product during use. Antistatic additives are used in many packaging grades to reduce the adhesion of bottles or packaging to dust and dirt. Specific applications require special additive formulations, such as copper inhibitors associated with wire and cable applications. Excellent weather resistance and UV (or daylight) resistance can be achieved by adding anti-UV additives. There is no added anti-ultraviolet or carbon black PE, it is recommended not to continue to use outdoors. High-grade carbon black pigments provide excellent UV resistance and can often be used in outdoor applications, such as wires, cables, trough layers, or pipes.
