TPR material (Thermo-Plastic-Rubber material) is a thermoplastic rubber material. It is a kind of thermoplastic soft rubber material with rubber elasticity and can be directly processed and molded (such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.) without vulcanization.
Appearance characteristics
The color is transparent or white particles; the shape is particles, usually spherical particles, ellipsoidal particles and thin round strips, the surface is bright, and it has good reflective properties.
-- Rubber has good resilience and good wear resistance, anti-slip and shock absorption properties. TPR material is softer and more comfortable than rubber, but the material tensile strength, fatigue resistance and mechanical properties are not as good as vulcanized rubber.
-- The operating temperature range is -45~90ºC. The commonly said TPR material is based on SBS substrate, and its chemical properties are as follows: weather resistance, aging resistance is general, and temperature resistance is 70~75ºC. If you need a material with good aging resistance and temperature resistance, you can choose a modified material of SEBS substrate.
--TPR materials can adjust their hardness from 5 to 100 degrees Shore hardness, and modified materials based on SEBS can be adjusted to a lower hardness.
--TPR materials have good bonding properties with certain glues, inks, etc., and have good spray printing processability.
--TPR materials are environmentally friendly soft rubber.
TPR materials are widely used in daily products, adult products, hardware tools, luggage wheels, sports equipment, toy products, auto parts, medical products, wires and cables, electronic appliances, communication instruments and footwear products, etc. Among them, the footwear and toy industries are mainly the application fields of TPR based on SBS. Modified materials based on SEBS are mainly used in products with high requirements for aging resistance, weather resistance, high material tensile strength, and ultra-low material hardness (less than 5 degrees Shore hardness).
