Material Description

TPE material features:

TPE material has the resilience and good wear resistance of general rubber, average weather resistance and aging resistance, and excellent anti-skid and shock-absorbing properties, but its softness and comfort are superior to rubber. In addition, TPR materials are inferior to vulcanized rubber in terms of tensile strength, fatigue resistance and mechanical properties.

TPE material is a material that has the characteristics of both rubber and thermoplastic plastics. Its hardness can be adjusted within the range of Shore hardness from 0 to 100 degrees. It is a thermoplastic soft rubber that can be directly processed and formed (such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.) material.

It has excellent colorability, soft touch, strong temperature resistance, and can be recycled and reused.

TPE materials can be secondary injection molded, coated and bonded with hard plastic materials such as PP, PE, PC, PS, ABS, etc., or can be molded separately.

The base material SBS rubber has poor heat resistance, and the use temperature generally cannot exceed 80°C. Therefore, the temperature resistance of TPR materials modified with SBS base material is also relatively poor. Products with temperature resistance requirements can use TPE modified with SEBS base material.

Most thermoplastic elastomer TPE materials do not require vulcanization or the vulcanization time is very short, the production efficiency is greatly improved, and the molding cycle is short.

TPE materials do not introduce heavy metals during the production process, do not add harmful phthalate plasticizers, and comply with ROHS, REACH, EN71, PAHS and FDA environmental testing. It has successfully replaced PVC material in many fields.
