PMMA, also known as polymethyl methacrylate or acrylic, has the following properties:
1. PMMA has excellent transparency, with light transmittance reaching 90% to 92%, exceeding that of many inorganic materials such as ordinary glass.
2. PMMA has good resistance to many chemicals and is not easily affected by chemicals such as acids and alkalis.
3. PMMA has high tensile strength and bending strength, and its impact resistance is also better than that of ordinary glass, making it one of the better mechanical properties among transparent materials.
4. PMMA has good resistance to UV and atmospheric aging, suitable for outdoor use.
5. PMMA is easy to process and can be cut, drilled, bent, etc. in many ways.
